The Real Time Wireless Inventory Reporting System is a SSI demonstration on how wireless and sensors can be used to customize an inventory management system in REAL TIME! The system can be altered to report inventory levels of just about anything.

The prototype is designed to provide accurate and current inventory data. A real time inventory stock levels can

• Lower the cost associated with sales visits to check inventory

Every industry requires a custom solution to resolve its unique business challenges. Factors to consider are:

• product weight
• what's being measured: bins, bottles, pack of gum, pallets?
• type of sensor required

The development team at SSI utilized readily available pressure sensors to create this wireless prototype and user interface. Tekscan can create a custom sensor for more unique applications.

Convenient Inventory Reporting Data - Without Wires

Using pressure sensitive panels in conjunction with SSI's wireless technology, the Real Time Wireless Inventory Reporting System can be conveniently accessed from the inventory managers desk. The software can also be customized to interface with most ERP systems. Another possible feature is to send automated alerts via email, text message or page.

Pressure Sensitive Panels Monitor Inventory Levels

The Real Time Wireless Inventory Reporting System is compromised of a pressure sensitive panel and is shown with small inventory bins.

Different configurations are possible. The pressure sensitive panel is shown below in a hanging configuration.

The wireless receiver module is used to accept the data and display inventory levels.  The receiver is shown below connected to a laptop via a USB cable.
